Pain relief and good health are about balance.
While balance and health are your natural state of being, you step outside of health through the choices you make in daily living that often create excess – excess tension, an excess of your internal life forces (called Doshas in Ayurveda), of substances such as food or toxins.
These choices include what you take in from the outer world (food, sensory input, mental messages, the weather and climate effects), habits, behaviors, and your thoughts which are the subtle energy behind any action.
Too much of certain things or repetitive actions can create imbalance and push you out of health and into a state of imbalance. And when you are out of balance, your body system communicates to you through various types of pain.
Pain is the signal.
And although it is not comfortable, it is serving the purpose of telling you that there is a problem. This is where you need to pay attention. If you ignore or attempt to simply cover up the pain, you ignore the real problem underneath the pain. Not only will the pain then return, the problem itself will keep building adding potentially more painful symptoms.
Each type of pain provides different cues to the underlying problem. As an Ayurvedic Practitioner, I am trained to assess and interpret this information to not only identify the root imbalance into one of the three life forces or doshas, but to then know what personalized treatments and program you need.
Balance at the root issue is what you need to restore good health and to re-set your pain signals. I help you develop the plan to create that balance.
