This light and lovely dish can be either a snack or a simple dessert.
Although I tend to make cooked fruit dishes more often in the cooler seasons, it can be eaten any time, especially if you have a vata imbalance or constitution.
Spiced Apples & Pears
- 1 apple
- 1 pear
- 1 Tbsp. ghee
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. cardamom
- ¼ tsp. ginger
- ¼ tsp. nutmeg
- ¼ cup water or apple cider
Peel and slice 1 apple and 1 pear.
In a saucepan, heat the ghee and add the spices.
Reduce heat to medium-low and add 1/4 cup of water or apple cider. Cover and sauté until the fruit is tender but not mushy.
